Access Copyright

Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, is a not-for-profit agency established to license public access to copyright works.

The agency now represents a vast international repertoire along with more than 8,000 Canadian creators and publishers.

Any Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has published works in Canada in print form and is not affiliated with another RRO (e.g. COPIBEC) can apply to become an Access Copyright affiliate. This includes writers, illustrators and photographers and publishers of books, magazines, journals and newspapers.

CCW (Capital Crime Writers)

Small group of writers, mostly in the Ottawa area, who meet regularly to exchange and collaborate on crime fiction projects.

Capital Crime Writers has grown to a group of over seventy members who meet on the second Wednesday of every month at the Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa. There is always a meet and greet from 7:00 to 7:15, prior to every meeting with the meetings alternating each month between a writing workshop and a guest speaker. Our guest speakers address topics related to crime or some element of investigation.
