Galerie McKenzie Marcotte is pleased to be showing the work of two consecutive generations of Granger artists, icon painter Christine Granger and her daughters who are linked by the common experiences in the life events of a family as well as a passion and talent for expressing their own journeys using personal imagery and colour.

Arts Sud-ouest, an atelier, art gallery and publishing house dedicated to the exhibition and support of artistic creation in Quebec, is pleased to announce the 2008 Holiday Show.

This year's offering will feature marionette, puppet, doll and jewelery art created by craftspeople of Quebec, as well as a collection of block prints and wood carvings.

Gallery hours: Wednesday - Saturday 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. Sunday - noon until 5:00 pm.

The 15th edition of Christmas in the park A public event held this year in the park Lahaie from December 4th to December 23rd.

This is an event for the whole family; music, lights, and local and international artists will be their to entertain you and yours.

All sizes of Christmas trees will be available to buy on site to help support the event!

Local venders will also be on site with hot wine, roasted chestnuts, and many other hot finger foods!

So please come and enjoy the spirit of Christmas!

All levels are welcome from first time amateurs who want to try the basic drawing exercise to professional artists honing their skills.

For 15$, you get small group sizes, a professional and experienced model, and perfect lighting and temperature. Most importantly a comfortable and creative atmosphere is assured. Plenty of red and white wine, cheeses, nuts etc. will be served. So come ready to eat, converse, drink and draw!

The Left of Centre Theatre Company is very happy to present its second pantomime: Puss in Boots. Come see how the Big Bad Ogre terrifies the kingdom of King Eric, how the very clever Puss assists Harry, the poor miller's son, to trick the Ogre (by using special magic of course!) and how Puss helps Harry win the heart of the beautiful Princess. Puss in Boots, a pantomime, is for both the young and young at heart and again enjoys having lots of audience participation. Directed by Simone Nichol, starring Leanna Glance, Margaret Owen, Heather Huff, Anne-Marie Saheb and Michael Panich.

Weekends only, 10 am to 5 pm
The renovated church studio is transformed into a gallery. The exhibition is of original prints created using indigenous plants, sometimes called weeds, as the matrix for the printing plates. The sizes of some of the leaves is often difficult for visitors to believe: 32 by 37 inches! The walls are filled with the colours of fall displaying ferns, burdock, jack-in-the-pulpit etc. Sorge hand-prints all of her own works in her church print studio, tucked in among the hills and fields near the village of Dunham.

Vernissage: December 6: 12pm. For the fourth consecutive year DIAGONAL organizes its Exhibition-Fundraiser this December. Thanks to the generosity of seventy participating artists, we can offer art lovers the opportunity to support an artist-run center by acquiring unique works of art. The price for each piece is set at $100.00. Diagonal, artist-run center for the arts and fibers of Quebec, showcases the  work of visual artists whose practice differs by the use of techniques or concepts relating to the art of the fiber.

The "Show Stoppers", picked by the selection committee, will be featured in the gallery.
