Trumpet Impressions - A unique vintage trumpet photo + artefact exhibition + performance by Kevin Dean

Trumpet Impressions, a unique series of photographic works by Tatiana Parniakova and Randy Cole, celebrates the vintage trumpet and its lauded role in mid 20th century jazz with an exhibition from June 28 to July 8 at Intofocus Photography Centre in Montreal.
The vernissage will take place on Friday, June 29 starting 6:00 pm. and will feature a live trio jazz performance by Montreal trumpet maven, Kevin Dean and his trio. The Trumpet Impressions project includes a short film featuring Kevin Dean (http://youtube.com/watch?v=sPNyH9z-ORI), a web-gallery (www.intofoc.us), and an eBay storefront for print and instrument sales.

A one hour live performance by Lp Camozzi (www.lpkids.ca) for a preschool audience on Friday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. The performance is scheduled to take place in Cabot Square Park which is across the street from the Montreal Children’s Library. In case of rain, the event will take place in the lobby of the Pepsi Forum.

Classical Solo Piano Concert
Aria Atelier de Chant has invited Alejandra Cifuentes Diaz to be part of the annual summer Music Festival.
She will be performing a variety of piano pieces from the Baroque era (Bach) to Classical era (Beethoven and Mozart) and also the Romantic period (Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Liszt).
This event will be held on Sunday, July 8th at 2pm at 4525 A, Saint-Denis (corner Mont-Royal street – near Mont-Royal metro).
Tickets are at 15$ each and include a cocktail serving.

Symposium de Peinture de l'Ile Raymond, 4e Edition

Come join us on Ile Raymond for the weekend of 13,14,15 July 2007. There is a unique, relaxed atmosphere during this symposium, held on an island in The St Lawrence River west of Valleyfield, near St. Barbe.
Water ferry is free for the weekend, there is a bar, marina, and an intimate bay for swimming for those so inclined. Visitors can participate on Saturday evening for $20, or they can bring thier own picnic on any day. Saturday evening will include a jazz ensemble for our entertainment. The vernissage will is on Sunday July 15 from 15h to 19h.

This season, Repercussion Theatre will present its adaptation of Molière's Les Fourberies de Scapin in French and English. We will deliver an unprecedented take on Molière’s famous comedy with the usual pizzazz and freshness that has become 'Theatre-in-the-Parks’ trademark.
The tour starting July 18th will be presenting 20 shows of Molière’s Les Fourberies de Scapin in English and 10 in an adapted version of the original French version.
