Agatha Schwager, Forces of Nature, Galerie Luz
Galerie Luz Edifice Belgo, Galerie I 372, rue Ste-Catherine O., suite 418, Montréal, QC
Drawing on her fascination with the influence of Chinese brush painting on Old Dutch Masters, Agatha Schwager's eleventh solo exhibition, Forces of Nature, reflects both of these sources of inspiration. Like imaginary birds over a stormy ocean, memory and ideas fly spontaneously onto the paper. Using plant-based indigo paints, she explores the most essential of elements, water and the power of the rising sea.
