Artistic research and creation Grants—Type A

Support to artists with at least 10 years of professional experience for research and creation in dance.

This grant is intended to support research or creation of works by enabling artists to carry out projects that foster their artistic development. This grant is open to dancers and dance groups whose projects are not linked to an application for an operating grant or a production project made by an organisation. There are a number of eligible projects which include, but are not limited to, research and new choreographies, as well as new choreography intended for dissemination on dance videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs. Dance residencies focusing on research/experimentation, research in costume, stage lighting and design are also acceptable.

Eligibility
  • Miniumum 10 years of practice
  • Have had works presented in a recognized professional context
