This membership-based organisation helping dancers make necessary transitions into different careers, offers numerous scholarships and awards to members who are in the process of retraining after finishing a career in dance.

Established in 1985, the Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) helps dancers make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers. DTRC offers numerous awards and scholarships to its members who are currently retraining for a second career after being a professional dancer. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the DTRC Board of Directors. Eligibility
  • Members of DTRC
  • Have completed a minimum of 1 year of retraining
  • Based on: excellence in chosen course of study, financial need, and duration of performing career
