Canadian Heritage Financial Support Programs
New Media Research and Development Initiative
This program provides assistance to Canadian organisations to help build research (R&D) and development capacity in Canada and to advance innovation of the Canadian new media industry, specifically in the area of digital cultural content.
Other goals include strengthening R&D capacity in small to medium size (SME) enterprises in the cultural new media industry and encouraging partnerships between organisations involved in developing innovations to allow them to share expertise and build on each others' strengths.
- Eligibility
Canadian organisations that are eligible include:
- private sector
- small and medium-sized enterprises active in the cultural new media sector
- non-governmental research institutes
- post-secondary institutions with a research mandate
- not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations
