The AV Trust occasionally provides funding for projects related to preserving old Canadian films and music.

The Canadian Heritage Audio-Visual Preservation Trust is a national non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the preservation of Canada's audio-visual heritage. It occasionally provides funding for preservation and recording projects, which include transferring Canadian music works in fragile or obsolete formats into new and accessible formats, as well as restoring and improving access to old films and television.
