Commissioned works and residencies—Type A

This grant offers support for classical and non-classical music composition to artists with at least 10 years of professional experience.

This grant is intended to support writing and composition projects carried out in collaboration with a performer or organisation that produces and disseminates works. The commission may also take the form of a composer-in-residence program with a host organisation.

Eligibility
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience
  • Have had works presented in a recognized professional context
  • Artists with under 10 years of practice may apply if their artistic output warrants it
