Studio XX
Thematic Residency for Women Artists
Montreal's Studio XX offers residencies on themes related to art and technology to women artists.
Montreal's Studio XX is committed to providing digital technology training and instruction to women at all levels of experience, both artists and non-artists. Studio XX offers women artists thematic residencies which examine the intersection between art, technology, and new media. Each year a theme is chosen and residencies are awarded for projects dealing with this theme in an innovative way.

Projects should satisfy 2 of the following criteria:
- The residency will offer important support at an important point in the artist's development
- The proposed project resonates with Studio XX's priorities in terms of technical experimentation
- The project captures certain themes related to theoretical, political, and/or social engagement in a relevant and captivating way

- $750 Artist's Fee 45 hours of technical support (value of $1125)
- Access to studio equipment ($3335)
- Possibility of participating in group workshops (value of $200–$300)
- Distinct working space for the artist and her instructor
