Montreal's Studio XX is committed to providing digital technology training and instruction to women at all levels of experience, both artists and non-artists. Montreal Studio XX offers a residency on a specific theme each year, and this particular residency caters to women artists working/living outside of the Montreal region and who wish to explore the possibilities of on-line and/or networked collaboration.

Eligibility

• Women artists

Projects should satisfy 2 of the following criteria:

• The residency will offer important support at an important point in the artist's development
• The proposed project resonates with Studio XX's priorities in terms of technical experimentation
• The project captures certain themes related to theoretical, political, and/or social engagement in a relevant and captivating way

Amount

• $750 Artist's Fee
45 hours of technical support (value of $1125)
• Access to studio equipment ($3335)
• Possibility of participating in group workshops (value of $200–$300)
• Distinct working space for the artist and her instructor
