The CAJ–CIDA Fellowship
This fellowship offers journalists who are members of CAJ an opportunity to travel and do research in developing countries.
This fellowship offers up to five Canadian journalists (including one from Quebec) an opportunity to travel to a developing country to conduct research and broaden their understanding of international issues. The fellowship seeks to encourage more in-depth and informed reporting on international development issues. Funding may be used to cover costs related to travel, medical costs, accomodation, meals and incidentals, local transportation, visas, and registration, airfare and hotel for the CAJ's national conference.
- Eligibility
- Paid-in-full members of the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ)
- Members must be Canadian journalists working full-time in the media
- Freelance journalists are eligible if they provide a letter of guarantee or intent from a mainstream newspaper, magazine, broadcaster, news agency or Internet news service to broadcast, publish, or syndicate resulting articles, features, documentaries or reportage
