Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec (CALQ)
Quebec-Ontario and Quebec-New Brunswick Artist-in-Residence Program

Quebec artists and writers may apply for a grant of up to $9 000 to engage in a period of residence in either Ontario or New Brunswick in order to carry out an artistic or professional enrichment project.

As part of its contribution to the initiative launched by the Québec government in 2006 to develop ongoing arts and culture exchanges between Québec, Ontario and New Brunswick, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec recently concluded reciprocity agreements with the Ontario Arts Council and the New Brunswick Arts Board.

Artists and writers participating in this program enjoy complete autonomy and define the objectives of their period of residence and elaborate the parameters and conditions governing its realization in collaboration with an arts or community organization in the territory where the period of residence is to take place.
