The Writers' Trust of Canada
The Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award

This award is given annually to an emerging Canadian writer below the age of 35 who has yet to be published in book form.

The Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award was established in memory of Canadian poet Bronwen Wallace, who died at the age of 44. As Ms. Wallace's first book was not published until she was 35, this annual award is given to young emerging writers below the age of 35 who have yet to be published in book form. One award is given annually. The recipient is chosen by a jury of three established writers. The prize is awarded alternately in the category of poetry or fiction (in 2006 the prize was awarded for poetry).
