The Woodcock Fund
This fund provides confidential and compassionate assistance to established and mid-career Canadian writers who are facing unexpected
Established in 1989 by George and Inge Woodcock, the purpose of this fund is to provide emergency funding for established or mid-career writers who are facing a severe or unseen financial crisis while attempting to finish their book. To date the fund has distributed over $400,000 in financial support to more than 110 Canadian writers, many prominent in their respective fields of writing. This fund is administered in such a way as to ensure the applicant strict confidentiality and discretion during the assessment process.
