Annual Short Grain Contest

This contest offers prizes to winners in different writing categories which include: dramatic monologue, postcard stories, prose poems, and the Long Grain of Truth (creative non-fiction).

Grain Magazine's Annual Short Grain Contest offers $6000 in cash prizes to winning entries in the following writing categories: dramatic monologue, postcard stories, prose poems, and the Long Grain of Truth (creative non-fiction). All contest winners will have their entries published in Grain Magazine. Located in Saskatchewan, Grain Magazine has a long literary history and publishes both established and emerging writers. The entry fee for this competition is $30 and includes a year's subscription to Grain Magazine.

  • Multiple entries accepted (addition payment of $8 per additional entry)
