CAR/FAC: Canadian Artists Representation/Le front des artistes Canadiens

Federally incorporated, non-profit association and National Art Service Organisation that is the "national voice of Canada's professional visual artists".

CARFAC defends artists' economic and legal rights and educates the public on fair dealing with artists.  CARFAC is also the parent organisation of the RAAV, and maintains the CARCC (Canadian Artists' Representation Copyright Collective), which licenses and administers copyright for visual and media artists in Canada (see the website).

  • Certificate of Canadian Origin, which identifies original works of art of Canadian origin, allowing them to be temporarily exported abroad without GST implications
  • Standard licenses for Temporary Exhibition
  • Reproduction and digital reproduction
  • Free access to CARCC (Canadian Artists' Representation Copyright Collective) services (see the website)
  • Schedules of recommended minimum fees to be paid to artists for the use of their copyrights available for download
