The jazz-pop-fusion group Jazzotopes, founded in Montréal in 2013 by Mari Sild, an Estonian singer, composer and pianist. The sound and lyrics of Jazzotopes are inspired by the Nordic nature, the beauty of our world, universal love and many things that the words can not describe... The songs are in Estonian, English and French. The group of Jazzotopes is an improvisational formation, always dynamic and full of surprises. One of the underlying philosophies of Jazzotopes music is the wish to protect our natural environment and live in harmony with the nature.
Others about Jazzotopes: "If you love jazz and are looking to hear an extra cool sound, then you really must listen to Jazzotopes. They can best be described as a Nordic Jazz fusion sound."
Hilary Neiman, Harvey Louis Neiman Foundation for Music and Development.
"Silky, wavelike... So full of Baltic good sorcery... Through her fingers she conveys something of the pastoral magic of Estonia and of its maritime energy... with the purity of the Nordic light..."
André Seleanu, Montréal art critic.
