This workshop is for every artist interested in physical theatre. This workshop mixes traditional theatre techniques, movement improvisations (solo dance and contact dance) with theatre, movement and clown exercises. The participant will walk the limit between dance, theatre and clown. Authenticity and truth will be the main focus. The artist needs to be generous with his audience.
Vsevolod Meyerhold’s technique will be used to explore the positioning of the body, biomechanic, rhythmic, and the speed of action within the body and voice. Rémi Jacques is the founder of the troupe Les Foutoukours, now named La Compagnie de Production Les Foutoukours. In 2004, he got a BFA in theatre at UQÀM. Since 1997, Rémi presents multidisciplinary numbers, and circus, mask, clown, dancem theatre, and spoken word shows across Quebec. He continues his theatre research by mix of genres and styles. Over the years, Remi, drawing on various techniques learned during his journey, has developed a personal technique he teaches in his workshops. www.lesfoutoukours.com
