PRODUCTION MANAGER
EASTERN TOWNSHIPS FILM FESTIVAL

Duration: 2 months – 5 days per week

Commencing: June 25th, 2012

Job Description:
Working closely with the Festival’s general director, the successful candidate will be key in overseeing preparations for and operations of festival events by acting as chief liaison between department heads, suppliers and the general director. They will also be responsible for taking on the supervising of day-to-day administration and financial operations and ensuring deadline fulfillment on behalf of the Festival’s direction.

Salary:
To be discussed – for the right candidate the position offers long term possibilities as well as the opportunity for direct involvement in the evolution of the Festival.

A solid knowledge of and good contacts in the Eastern Townships community are a strong asset for this position. Ideally the candidate lives in the Eastern Townships area, preferably within the Brome Lake, Sutton, Cowansville, Waterloo area or has the possibility of living temporarily in that area from mid-June until late August.

Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual in both written and spoken French and English;
  • strong administrative and office skills; 
  • good working knowledge of basic bookkeeping program like Quickbooks; 
  • experienced in event planning and production, preferably, but not necessarily in 
non-profit; 
  • resourceful self-starter personality; 
  • strong organizational skills and task management; 
  • a team leader but also a team player; 
  • well informed in all artistic fields but most especially film; 
  • great people skills, especially working under pressure; 
  • experience with managing a team of volunteers; 
  • good at multi-tasking.
