WORKSHOPS 2012
On March 22 and 23rd 2012, community representatives from across Quebec gathered at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal to take part in the ACCORD workshops. The intended purpose of this event was to allow presenters to share practical tips and success stories about producing artistic and cultural events, from comedy and music, to theatre performances, to heritage festivals and readings by authors.
Workshops were led by individuals who have demonstrated exceptional skills in using arts and culture to invigorate their communities. Presenters included: Brenda Rooney, founder of Rooney Productions; Jennifer Cooke, director of Ici Par Les Arts; Elsa Bolam, founder Geordie Productions; Anne Clark, president of Quebec Drama Federation; and Kate Wisdom, Culture and Community Coordinator of Townshipper’s Association. These workshops lay the foundation for Phase II of the ACCORD project.
Transcripts and video from the ACCORD workshops will be available on this website in the near future.
