James Finnerty

Solar Dog Music is a new Montréal-based record label currently producing the work of musician James Finnerty. The company is also producing demo recordings for independent musicians (with an emphasis on acoustic music) and hopes to include new artists on its roster in the near future.

We are involved in the creation of music at many levels including composition, arranging, engineering, live audio recording. The company aims to provide music education through collaboration with other artists, workshops & mentorship.

We have worked extensively with Indyish.com to assist with podcast recordings and to provide live sound engineering & consultation for their events.

We wish to work with local & independent visual artists to produce designs and packaging for album cover artwork and layouts. Album packaging will be mostly hand-made, silk screened on paper and made in small runs with minimal use of plastics.

A debut release from James Finnerty is scheduled for Winter/ Spring of 2008.
