Summary:

This is a selection from my self-produced debut EP. The EP is a collection of home recordings and other material recorded during the summer & fall of 2007 in Montreal. Artists who helped contribute to the EP include: Erik Virtanen & Tasha Cyr (vocals on Far Above the Sky) Kent Walker (engineer on Borderline Ferry) Harris Newman (mastering engineer)

This song I wrote for my father after a visit to the Toronto Islands back in 2004. It’s about transitioning from one point in your life to another and how that could happen at any time. I created the piece to capture a moment in time that was a transition point for me. The production was done by audio engineer Kent Walker at the McGill sound studios. We initially had met to test out some microphones, but the end result was a take of Borderline Ferry that really stood out and had a special energy to it that I thought would be right for the EP.
