The Kiss
This was the smallest balanced rock sculpture of the 2008 project, but was also the most obvious individual sculpture. I didn't feel the need to name this piece because it's obviously a kiss! "The Kiss" was inspired by Brancusi's "Kiss". Brancusi has been a major influence in my work and his commentaries reflect my perceptions perfectly.
To quote: "Beauty is absolute balance". "If one could create as one breathes; that would be true happiness" "Art must give suddenly, all at once the shock of life." "My life has been a series of miracles."
All prints are reconditioned in photoshop, imitating a gum dichromate non silver print. Photographed in September with a Nikon D 80 wide angle lens.
Giclée prints of the sculptures are available on water color paper at any size.
