A WINTERS WALK
A WINTER WALK by Richard Masterton
Come walk with love this fresh winters morn,
Through peaceful forest glens to tread.
New snow has fell and dressed the thorn,
The coldness, sun has shed.
View beauties free chilled droplets of ice,
Listen to whispers through branches nude.
Enrobed in a white blanket embraced so nice,
To cover autumns rustic solitude.
Tread softly place each step of foot just right,
Your footsteps take you through bridal veils.
Winters cathedral boughed so grand a sight,
Inhale the bliss of evergreen smells.
The crystal light reflects from a frosted sky,
Prisms rays descend upon a colored hearth.
Through forest spires reaching so high,
A place to visit the tranquility of earth.
So blessed a peace in love with natures part,
Gives to us serenity of soul and mind.
May aid in growth of tendered heart,
Its love, upon your winter's walk you'll find.
The verse reflects the solitude of an individuals meandering through a nature park on a crisp winter morning. The frost is laid and the tranquility is there to inhale and enjoy.
