Conseil du patrimoine religieux du Québec has opened a call for their Program targeting the repurposing of underutilized places of worship of heritage value. The program provides support for projects concerning the repurposing of places of worship of heritage value aims to preserve the heritage value of buildings while promoting a transition towards a new use rooted in the needs of the community.

Céline Bureau, a non-profit artist residency, offers a 12-week program in Montreal from June to August 2024 for emerging artists, emphasizing unconventional practices and supporting marginalized communities. Six selected residents will develop personal projects in a shared studio space.

Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal (FNC) is looking for films as well as virtual reality, interactive and performance works for its 52nd edition which will run from October 9 to 20, 2024 in Montréal.

Fanstasia Festival and Marché du film Cannes have opened a call for submissions for Frontieres Coproduction Market. Participants will have access to: live pitch sessions from the selected projects; Meeting and networking opportunities with project participants and a large variety of seasoned professionals from the international Genre film industry; Panels and round tables on the latest developments and trends in Genre film production, financing and distribution; A profile in the Frontières Coproduction Market booklet; Access to Fantasia Festival screenings and industry events.

Virginia Parker Prize is awarded to a classical singer, instrumentalist or music conductor under the age of 32 who demonstrates outstanding talent, musicianship and artistic merit, and who makes a valuable contribution to artistic life in Canada and internationally. Canada Council for the Arts is currently accepting applications for this prize.

CCAAI are seeking those interested in digital art, emergent storytelling, research-creation, and more! A call for art and/or artifacts that explore, investigate, critique, uncover, unpack, flesh out, highlight, or play with the ethical dimensions of AI and AI art. Applications open April 2nd.

Registrations are now open for Mtl en Arts EXPO-SALE. Exhibit your work at the Mtl en Arts Festival from Thursday, June 27 to Monday, July 1, in Village Montréal on Rue Sainte-Catherine! Visual artists and craft artists are encouraged to apply, regardless of the medium used, their artistic background (established artists, students, arts graduates, self-taught, etc.) or provenance.

Fresh Pages Editorial Mentorship at Carte Blanche is now accepting applications! The mentorship includes: $800 honorarium, approximately 15 hours of mentorship, and a free one-year membership in the Quebec Writers’ Federation.

Max Margles Writing Residency in Ireland is open to Quebec-based fiction writers with a writing practice primarily in English. The dates of the residency are from October 11 to November 1, 2024 and will cover travel, meals, accommodation, incidental expenses etc.

Montreal Prize awards one prize of $20,000 CAD to a poet for a single poem of 40 or fewer lines. A jury of internationally reputed poets and critics selects a shortlist of approximately 60 poems, from which a judge chooses one winner. The shortlist is published in The Montreal Poetry Prize Anthology.

Vallum Magazine is accepting submissions for its Chapbook Contest. The winning chapbook will be published as part of Vallum’s Chapbook Series and will receive a $300 prize. Chapbooks may be on any theme or subject, but must be original and not previously published.
