English-language artists connect with one another, with their francophone colleagues, and with audiences in Quebec, Canada, and internationally. Our members include artists and organizations\u00a0representing\u00a0many artistic disciplines and regions of Quebec. ELAN encourages an evolving Quebec identity that celebrates social, cultural, and artistic diversity.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We offer opportunities for networking, capacity building, and support for career development, as well as work to ensure that government and other stakeholders are aware of the concerns of English-language artists and arts organizations.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Job Description:<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Reporting to the Executive Director, but working closely with the ELAN\u2019s Director of Operations, the bookkeeper will:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Manage regular bookkeeping and accounts payable work<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Assist in tracking spending and recording expenditures for all core and project activities, both proactively and retroactively. (Reporting and projections)<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Improve processes for visibility, payment approvals, general accounting, software and reporting, in a gradual but systematic way so as to facilitate the tasks required for clear and transparent books<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Research and present software options, with a view to improving processes.
