Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Film Board, as part of its Filmmaker Assistance Program, has provided additional on-line editing, colour correction and audio mixing over the summer for ELAN\u2019s feature-length documentary&nbsp; <strong>What We Choose To Remember<\/strong>.&nbsp; The Knowlton Film Festival presented the film on August 26 and regional screenings are confirmed for Quebec City at the Morrin Centre on September 28 and for Rouyn-Noranda October 5.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This film about identity and belonging among English-speakers and Allophones has resonated with viewers because it reflects a lived reality that is rarely acknowledged in the media or in the official history of Quebec. &nbsp;ELAN is planning group screenings of <strong>What We Choose To Remember<\/strong> in the months ahead accompanied with a Q+A so audience members can share experiences about their family migrating to Quebec and how they have adapted.&nbsp; Check our webpage for dates and locations pf screenings.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/whatwechoosetoremember.ca\/\">https:\/\/whatwechoosetoremember.ca\/<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp; You can also find a link to view the film while waiting for a community screening.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Waves of Change: Reimagining Quebec<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ELAN\u2019s newest documentary project is a one-hour special for CBC entitled <strong>Waves of Change: Reimagining Quebec. <\/strong>This new documentary revisits characters previously seen in<strong> Waves of Change <\/strong>(the 6-part series broadcast on MAtv) as well as the feature-length documentary <strong>What We Choose To Remember<\/strong> and adds a series of interviews with prominent Francophones. &nbsp;The result is a lively conversation in which Quebecers from many linguistic and cultural origins try to imagine a better future for Quebec and themselves. <strong>Waves of Change: Reimagining Quebec <\/strong>will be broadcast on CBC September 17 and then will be available on-line at CBC GEM.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-43191 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.quebec-elan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Waves-of-Change__MPX-Thumbnail-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Image including a grid of 18 close up of people's faces and text overlaid reading &quot;
