{"id":47980,"date":"2023-02-01T12:41:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-01T17:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.quebec-elan.org\/?p=47980"},"modified":"2024-05-21T15:17:40","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T19:17:40","slug":"call-for-participants-for-state-of-the-arts-equity-diversity-and-inclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.quebec-elan.org\/en\/call-for-participants-for-state-of-the-arts-equity-diversity-and-inclusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Participants for State of the Arts: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Are you a Black, Indigenous, and\/or person of colour (BIPOC) who considers yourself an artist?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you work in the arts, culture, or heritage sector in Quebec?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec-elan.org\/sota\/\">State of the Arts on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion project<\/a> is looking for English-speaking BIPOC artists, cultural workers, and heritage workers in Quebec to be part of an online focus group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many responses to last fall\u2019s survey highlighted efforts and desires to increase the inclusion of BIPOC in various ways, including&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>gallery showings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>festival line-ups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hiring processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>auditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To better understand the impact of work being done to support the inclusion of more BIPOC artists, cultural workers, and heritage workers, we are conducting a focus group that is open to BIPOC participants to speak to their experiences of inclusion efforts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is shared in this focus group will help shape the next phase of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>If you want more information, or are interested in being a participant, please get in touch at <a href=\"mailto:reasonedi@quebec-elan.org\">reasonedi@quebec-elan.org<\/a> before 20 February 2023.
