Join ELAN ArtEd Teaching Artists, Deanna Smith & Jason Selman, and Vivek Venkatesh in an interactive conversation that lays bare our assumptions regarding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in a post-pandemic scholastic context. We’ll collectively address strategies that have inspired us to address EDI in our pedagogies, how to overcome impasses in creating spaces for dialogue, and also discuss how to encourage plurality of viewpoints. The session will be divided into two halves where we’ll hear from our invited speakers through a series of queries posed by our host, Concordia University Professor and Artist, Vivek Venkatesh, and we’ll then engage in a conversation with our ELAN participants.
This learning opportunity has been made possible thanks to the leadership of ELAN’s ArtEd Team, in collaboration with the Québec Relations project and is funded in part by the Secretariat for relations with English-speaking Quebecers.
Who can attend? While designed for the Teaching Artists who facilitate learning experiences for all ages through ELAN’s ArtEd program, the webinar is open to all members of Quebec’s artistic communities.
