En raison des nombreuses restrictions et fermetures de salles, les artistes se sont trouv\u00e9s en situation p\u00e9rilleuse. Au Qu\u00e9bec, les artistes anglophones doivent affronter un d\u00e9fi suppl\u00e9mentaire, car ils doivent franchir la barri\u00e8re des langues dans une province majoritairement francophone.<\/p>\n<p>Dans ce contexte, ELAN a connu plusieurs changements de personnel, comme ce fut le cas pour de nombreux organismes dans diff\u00e9rents secteurs. Nous nous sommes retrouv\u00e9s soudainement \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un nouveau directeur ex\u00e9cutif, et nous sommes tr\u00e8s heureux que Vanessa Herrick ait d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de postuler pour ce poste.<\/p>\n<p>Tout au long du processus d\u2019entretien, Vanessa a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 sa capacit\u00e9 de collaboration, \u00e9voquant sa carri\u00e8re diversifi\u00e9e, notamment pour avoir travaill\u00e9 sur plusieurs continents, dans une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de contextes culturels et linguistiques. Chez nous, en tant que directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale d\u2019Action A\u00een\u00e9s Qu\u00e9bec, Vanessa a compris les nombreux d\u00e9fis de sant\u00e9 mentale auxquels nos a\u00een\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9s \u00e0 travers la province.<\/p>\n<p>La diversit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9, l\u2019inclusion et l\u2019appartenance sont des valeurs organisationnelles-cl\u00e9s pour ELAN. Le comit\u00e9 d\u2019inclusion a collabor\u00e9 avec le comit\u00e9 de rel\u00e8ve tout au long du processus d\u2019embauche, et il en r\u00e9sulte que, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, ELAN mettra en \u0153uvre une clause d\u2019inclusion dans le cadre d\u2019un contrat de travail. Nous sommes reconnaissants que Vanessa soit aussi ouverte d\u2019esprit et pr\u00eate \u00e0 relever le d\u00e9fi d\u2019\u00e9voluer avec nous.
