Our Québec Relations funding platform continues to expand: not only have we added the most recent grants from CALQ, SODEC and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, but we’ve also incorporated CALQ’s many residencies and artistic exchange opportunities! Here are some recent updates for you to consider:

A program designed to award a first CALQ grant to an emerging artist or writer from the Montréal area. Funding up to $15,000 per project. Deadline: January 19, 2022.

Support for artists and writers in the Outaouais region. Grants up to $20,000 for creation, production and dissemination projects that help forge links between the arts and the community and contribute to the development of artists and writers. Deadline: December 16, 2021.

  • SODEC: Support for Innovative Initiatives, Sections 1 and 2

Section 1 supports projects that promote new business models, including the development of Quebec intellectual property, the diversification of cultural content formats, the production, exploitation or export of cultural content, the discoverability of cultural content and business intelligence.

Section 2 is focused on promoting the relaunch of Quebec cultural enterprises under social distancing conditions by facilitating the production and dissemination of cultural content, as well as its monetization and the remuneration of Quebec artists. Both are open to not-for-profit and for-profit organizations exclusively. Deadline: December 17, 2021.
