Territorial partnership – Arts and Literature from the Laurentides

DESCRIPTION

With a shared desire to support artistic creation and its dissemination in the community, the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Antoine-Labelle, the RCM of Argenteuil, the RCM of Deux-Montagnes, the RCM of Rivière-du-Nord, the RCM of the Laurentians, the RCM of Pays-d’en-Haut, the MRC de Thérèse-de-Blainville, the Ville de Mirabel, the Ville de Saint-Jérôme, Culture Laurentides and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec have signed an agreement to support projects that involve formal partnership initiatives in the Laurentians. In particular, this agreement aims to implement support for production, dissemination, and consolidation projects.

Projects submitted must formally involve partnership initiatives with the community or local stakeholders, and must support creation, production, promotion or dissemination projects that encourage territorial, regional or interregional exchanges and networking. Projects can also support a consolidation initiative that strengthens the capacity for action of a structuring artistic or literary organization in its area and develop and build audience loyalty to regional artistic works.

CRITERIA

To be eligible, applicants must have its head office in an RCM or municipality covered by the program, and:

  • Not submit more than one application to the same component of a regional program per registration
  • A mission-supported organization may not submit a new application in any program if its fiscal year has been completed for four months and the grant utilization report, including financial statements, has not been received and approved by the Conseil
  • Regardless of the program or component, no application can be submitted if a supported project has been completed for three months and the grant report has not been received and approved. The official project completion date is determined by the applicant at the time the application is submitted. In the event of a change, the Conseil must be notified immediately
  • For all programs combined, an applicant cannot concurrently have more than eight projects under analysis, supported, in progress or completed within the last three months, for which a report has not been submitted and approved
  • Cannot submit a project that has already been analyzed and rejected during the same fiscal year, unless it has been substantially modified

EXPENSES

  • Artists’ fees and rights
  • Professional fees for contractors, collaborators, consultants, technicians and any other specialists who may contribute occasional expertise to the project
  • Travel expenses
  • Accommodation (hotel and meals)
  • Expenses related to outreach and dissemination activities, including promotional and advertising costs
  • Equipment rental
  • Equipment transportation costs

Eligible projects:

  • Projects promoting the integration of emerging or culturally diverse artists or writers into the organization’s artistic or organizational activities
  • Projects involving resource persons or activities aimed at improving administrative structure, communication and promotional services, or developing new audiences
  • Dissemination projects or one-off events involving the collaboration of community stakeholders or organizations
  • Circulation projects to develop new audiences
  • Creation or dissemination projects involving the use of cutting-edge resources and technologies

DOCUMENTS

  • Completed CALQ application form
  • Copy of patent letters and by-laws for a new applicant or if there have been any changes
  • Most recent financial statements
  • Balance sheet for the last year of activity
  • Detailed budget (the amount requested may not represent more than 80% of the project’s total funding and must include a financial or material contribution from a partner)
  • Detailed timetable for completion
  • Written confirmation from the partner, identifying the nature of its contribution to the project
  • Supporting audiovisual material
