Arts and Literature in Montréal – Territorial partnership – Ecoresponsibility and mutualization

Arts et lettres de Montréal – Partenariat territorial – Écoresponsabilité et mutualisation

DESCRIPTION

The Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (Conseil) have signed an agreement to support projects that formally involve partnership initiatives on the island of Montreal. In particular, this agreement aims to implement the Support for professional arts organizations for eco-responsible projects or mutualization initiatives.

Projects submitted must focus on ecoresponsibility* and/or sharing, and involve partnership initiatives. They must meet at least one of the general objectives and one of the specific objectives.

*Ecoresponsibility refers to a set of behaviors that are part of a sustainable development perspective. Some of the best-known ecoresponsible behaviors include recycling, composting, using public and active transportation, and buying ecological, local and organic products.

Overall, ecoresponsibility is based on the integration of the 3RV-E hierarchy (reduce at source, reuse, recycle, value, dispose) and the notion of the life cycle of products and services. The latter involves taking into account the environmental, economic and social impacts incurred at each stage in the life of a product or service.
