Artist and studio-apartment residency exchanges between Québec and Belgium BPS22

Échanges d’artistes et d’ateliers-résidences Québec – Belgique BPS22

DESCRIPTION

The studio-apartment residency is designed for an artist to engage in a two or three months sojourn, making available a suitable environment and the means to produce and disseminate their works. The program seeks to facilitate exchanges of durable ties between artists from Québec and abroad and promote the work and career development of Québec artists internationally.

Grants awarded enable recipients to cover the cost of personal insurance, travel, living expenses and costs related to carry out their projects. An itemized budget is not required for this program.

Information of the host institution:
The BPS22 Musée d’art de la Province de Hainaut, in Charleroi, is an exhibition space dedicated to art forms addressing social issues. Over several years, the BPS22 has formed collaborations and national and international partnerships with unanimously recognized European institutions. For the use of the invited artists, the BPS22 makes available a private residence within the museum (including bathroom facilities, kitchenette and office) as well as a suitable workshop space dependent upon the nature of their project. BPS22 will also publish a Cahier de recherches for each invited artist.
