Dance

My experience” working” with elder people started back in 2003 while I started teaching Yoga adapted for elder people (65+) at the YMCA Mile-End and at the Côte des Neiges Community Center in Montreal.
Since 2022 I have been collaborating with the Montreal based dance company Emmanuel Jouthe Danse Carpe Diem for several mediation dance workshops created for the elder community (55+). These are the 2 main mediations/artistic projects where I have been collaborting in their creation and animating these dance workshops:
“Futures Réciproques) and “Promenades Intérieures).

Sample workshop:

In collaboration with dance company Emmanuel Jouthe Danse Carpe Diem PROMENADES INTERIEURES (“INTERIOR WALKS”) is to allow authenticity and expression of the body for better health in a creative, is a cultural mediation project aimed for seniors (55 +) with an interest in dance. This is an opportunity to learn about movement, through awakening the body, as part of a series of creative dance workshops. The main intention of “INTERIOR WALKS” is to allow authenticity and expression of the body for better health in a creative, cultural, and social dimension. I have been offering these workshop 3 times et the Sportif Centre Yvonne Deschamps, at the Centre Aquatique de Rosemont.
