The Arts and Older Adults

Visual Arts

I am currently teaching a class to retired adults, and I really enjoy the dedication and enthusiasm they bring to the process. They want to learn! It’s refreshing. In the past, I taught a faux finish class to adults and really enjoyed what they brought to the table wit their lived experiences, and their willingness to learn. I also ran a project which paired seniors (over 70) with high school students to co-create a book about the seniors lives; it was a beautiful wonderful project which I would like to continue doing (I ran it 3 times).
