Everyone is an artist, no matter how much (or how little!) experience one may have in the creative process. As a community arts facilitator working with Older Adults, I respect the life experience each person brings to a session, and seek to create a space in which people can share stories, learn something new and connect with each other through making music and art. I have experience working in private and group settings, with active Older Adults as well as older adults experiencing various stages of cognitive decline and physical disability. In each of these settings, I am thrilled to listen to people’s stories and the opportunity to get to know each person a little bit more!

Sample workshop:

Music is movement: In this workshop, participants have the opportunity to shape music through their movement. Using instruments they already play and instruments we build in the workshop, participants will make music by conducting each other using basic conducting signs and expressive movement. Activities are designed to get people moving and interacting, and are adapted to the energy level and physical condition of the participants.
