As part of its research residency program, Artexte, a centre dedicated to documentation, research, and exhibitions in contemporary art, invites three researchers, artists or curators (individuals or collectives) from all areas of contemporary art practice to participate in its call for proposals 2027-2028. They are invited to explore its documentary resources and collection in order to develop a topic of their choice in greater depth.

Contact Collision is a DIY gathering created to collide the worlds of performance art and contemporary dance. They are accepting submissions from contemporary dance artists and performance artists to be paired together for a performance on October 22 at Cafe Depanneur.

Applications are now open for the Wajapkw Cohort 2026–2027. Wajapkw is a mentorship program that enables Indigenous filmmakers to develop a short film project, refine their writing, and become familiar with the various stages of developing and presenting an audiovisual project.

Le FIFA 45 is accepting film submissions for the 45th edition of the International Festival of Films on Art. The Festival of Films on Art is to be held from March 11 to 21, 2027.

Art Souterrain is launching its Call for Proposals for the 19th edition of its annual festival, taking place in the heart of downtown Montreal from April 24 to May 9, 2027.
This year, the festival’s 2027 Programming Director, Ariane Plante, invites artists from all disciplines to explore the theme “Nous” (“Us”).

Est-Nord-Est is accepting applications for their artists residency, Corps céleste, corps terrestre (Celestial Body, Terrestrial Body) centered on the concept of osmosis, viewed as a process of gradual transformation through which beings, materials, and environments mutually influence one another. Eligibility: Priority is given to artists of African descent, while welcoming anyone whose practice resonates with the themes explored.

Est-Nord-Est is accepting applications for their artist residency from authors from Québec, Canada, and other countries whose work concerns ideas, practices, or issues in contemporary visual and media arts. In symbiosis with the presence of the artists, the eight-week residencies host one author per season. They include an honorarium, lodging, logistical support, and access to the centre’s technical and documentary resources.
