Call for Participants for State of the Arts: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Are you a Black, Indigenous, and/or person of colour (BIPOC) who considers yourself an artist?
Do you work in the arts, culture, or heritage sector in Quebec?
The State of the Arts on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion project is looking for English-speaking BIPOC artists, cultural workers, and heritage workers in Quebec to be part of an online focus group.
Many responses to last fall’s survey highlighted efforts and desires to increase the inclusion of BIPOC in various ways, including
- gallery showings
- festival line-ups
- hiring processes
- auditions
To better understand the impact of work being done to support the inclusion of more BIPOC artists, cultural workers, and heritage workers, we are conducting a focus group that is open to BIPOC participants to speak to their experiences of inclusion efforts.
What is shared in this focus group will help shape the next phase of the project.
If you want more information, or are interested in being a participant, please get in touch at reasonedi@quebec-elan.org before 20 February 2023. Not sure if this focus group is for you? Feel free to reach out!
