Territorial partnership – Arts and Literature from Laval

DESCRIPTION

With a shared desire to support artistic creation and its dissemination in the community, the City of Laval, the Conseil régional de la culture de Laval and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec have signed an agreement to support projects that formally involve partnership initiatives on Laval territory. In particular, this agreement aims to implement the Support for Creation, Production and Outreach component.

Projects submitted must formally involve partnership initiatives with the community or local stakeholders, and must support creation, production and dissemination projects that promote links between the arts and the community. Projects must encourage access to and promotion of artistic and literary works among the local and regional population and contribute to the development of Quebec artists and writers of all generations and origins.

CRITERIA

Applicants must:

  • Reside in an RCM or municipality covered by the program.

In addition, the candidate must meet one or other of the following criteria:

  • Have participated in at least one production outside their training, in a context recognized by their peers
  • Have produced and presented at least one work publicly in a peer-recognized context outside the training program

Eligible projects:

  • Creation or dissemination projects favoring the realization of a professional commitment leading to a public performance
  • A project involving a unique collaboration with an educational institution, library or municipal authority
  • Creation or dissemination project involving the use of cutting-edge resources and technologies
  • Projects involving community stakeholders or groups in the creation or dissemination process

EXPENSES

  • Creation costs attributable to the applicant
  • Research costs
  • Appraisal costs, including fees
  • Fees for participating artists and collaborators (excluding the applicant)
  • Production costs such as studio rental, purchase of materials, equipment rental
  • Transportation costs
  • Travel-related expenses
  • Accommodation costs (hotel and meals)
  • Promotional expenses

  • List of participants and collaborators
  • Curriculum vitae of participating artists and collaborators (maximum 3 pages per person)

  • Press kit, if applicable (maximum 5 pages)
  • Contract, confirmation or intention: document provided by partners confirming contribution to the project and the terms of the agreement with the applicant
  • Confirmation or agreement: for an artist sponsored by a recognized organization or professional artist, the document
  • Document confirming sponsorship (if applicable)
