DESCRIPTION

This program makes resources available to the professional arts community that encourage the development of the discipline, the outreach of artists in Quebec, the advancement of knowledge, as well as audience awareness.

CRITERIA

Open to: Creative and/or production organizations, Service organizations, Dissemination companies, National and international events.

 

  • The project must be presented in at least two different places from two different cities or municipalities. The application must include confirmation of these presentations
  • Applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the start of the project
  • Organizations receiving CALQ’s operating funding cannot submit a new application in any program if their fiscal year has been over for four months or longer and a report on the use of the grant, including financial statements, has yet to be received and approved by CALQ
  • Regardless of the program or section, an application cannot be made if a funded project has been completed for three months or longer and a report on the use of the grant has yet to be received and approved by CALQ
  • Maximum of eight concurrent projects with CALQ per year
  • An applicant cannot present a project that has already been reviewed and rejected in the same fiscal year unless it has been significantly altered • Projects must be presented in at least two different locations, and applications must be accompanied by confirmation of these presentations
  • Eligible projects include exhibitions, performance programs, digital arts, film and video programs, “art and community” projects or any other similar activity involving the presentation of works and travel inside Quebec

EXPENSES

  • Accommodation expenses (maximum $200 per day)
  • Fees and royalties (exposition, reproduction, publication, communication, representation, etc.)
  • Promotional material and publicity costs directly related to the project
  • Travel and accommodation expenses for artists and other participants
  • Artwork transport costs
  • Costs related to the presentation of works
  • Location and equipment rental costs
  • Certain costs related to travel and professional or contractual honoraria (consultants, technicians or any other specialist providing expertise to the project)

DOCUMENTS

  • Completed CALQ application form
  • Copies of the organization’s letters patent
  • Copies of the organization’s general regulations
  • List of board members
  • Copies of documents outlining the transaction terms between related parties (if applicable) • Copies of signed contracts with artists, presenters, participants, etc.
  • Contracts or letters of commitment for at least three performances
  • Curriculum vitae of the participating artists
  • Press kit
  • Supporting audiovisual materials
