DESCRIPTION

The six months Rome residency enables Québec artists and writers to engage in a significant experience in their professional development. The living environment and contacts with a fabulous historic city create conditions favourable to the development of creativity and of artistic approaches.

Information of the host institution
The studio is located in the Monteverde Vecchio district, a quiet residential neighbourhood near the Janiculum and the ancient quarter of Trastevere. The historic centre of Rome is within easy reach by bus and tram.

The 60 m2 apartment includes a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen and a living room. It is fully furnished but does not have any specialized equipment.

CRITERIA

  • Artists with over 10 years of artistic practice.

Not eligible:

  • Groups of artists.
  • Projects carried out under the supervision of an educational program are ineligible.
  • A project that has already been rejected by the Conseil is ineligible for this program.
  • A group legally constituted as a not-for-profit or profit-making company or general partnership is ineligible for this program.

  • Applicant’s Curriculum vitæ (max. 3 pages)

  • Letter of intent, if applicable
