Québec-Ontario Artist-in-Residence Program

Résidences artistiques entre le Québec et l’Ontario

DESCRIPTION

Artists and writers participating in this program enjoy complete autonomy and define the objectives of their period of residence and elaborate the parameters and conditions governing its realization in collaboration with an arts or community organization in Ontario. The one to three months studio-apartment residency is designed for an artist to engage in a two or three months sojourn, making available a suitable environment and the means to produce and disseminate their works.

Applicants must submit a letter of intent from the host organization that undertakes to offer them professional support during their residency and that specifies the nature of the collaboration that they intend to establish in conjunction with the project.

Information of the host institution
Interested candidates must submit to the Conseil a residency proposal that includes a stay outside the province of one to three months.

Candidates are responsible for finding their own accommodation and making any professional contacts required for their projects.

PLEASE NOTE THAT STUDIO AND RESIDENCY PROGRAMS DIFFER CONSIDERABLY IN DURATION, DEADLINES AND SEASON IN WHICH THEY OCCUR. WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE THIS PLATFORM FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES AND TO REVIEW ALL DETAILS ON THE CALQ WEBSITE.
