DESCRIPTION

This program supports the realization of artistic or literary programming during a given time period, such as activities to develop audiences and raise awareness, marketing, presentation of works, etc.

CRITERIA

Open to: Professional artist associations, Presenters, National and international events, Creative and/or production organizations, Service organizations, Organizations for production assistance, Cultural periodicals, National associations

 

  • Applicant organizations must be registered as a not-for-profit and headquartered in Quebec, as well as have a majority of their administrators made up of Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in Quebec
  • Applicant organizations must be in existence for one year and have completed productions
  • Applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the start of the project
  • Organizations receiving CALQ’s operating funding cannot submit a new application in any program if their fiscal year has been over for four months or longer and a report on the use of the grant, including financial statements, has yet to be received and approved by CALQ
  • Regardless of the program or section, an application cannot be made if a funded project has been completed for three months or longer and a report on the use of the grant has yet to be received and approved by CALQ
  • Maximum of eight concurrent projects with CALQ per year • The following are ineligible:
  • Applications for a project that has already been reviewed and rejected in the same fiscal year, unless it has been significantly altered
  • Applicants currently receiving CALQ’s mission funding
  • Applicants receiving funding from SODEC or the Ministry of Culture and Communications
  • Applicants that presents the majority of its shows free of charge
  • Applications in which the majority of the proposed programming is not recognized as professional
  • Applications in which the presenter serves primarily to rent out its facilities and services
  • Applications featuring programming that is entirely comprised of works produced at the time of the application’s submission
  • Programming that includes a project already funded by a Production and Reprise Performance grant and that will take place at the same time as such a project

    Copies of the organization’s letters patent
  • Copies of financial statements from the most recent completed fiscal year
  • Press kit
  • Letters of agreement between organization, artist, or collective and production partners or presenters
  • Supporting audiovisual materials
