Programme d’aide aux entreprises en métiers d’art – Volet 3: Aide aux entreprises de diffusion spécialisées en métiers d’art

DESCRIPTION

This program aims to develop Quebec’s fine crafts industry by providing financial support to companies that take financial risks to design products that stand out for their potential as cultural products, i.e. their quality, originality and distinction. The program supports the production, distribution and digital discoverability of Québec fine crafts in all regions of Québec.

This section of the program aims to enable distributors to increase sales of Québec fine craft products, develop new clienteles by taking into account changing consumer practices, and improve the physical layout of boutiques and galleries to showcase Québec fine craft products.

CRITERIA

General conditions:

  • Applicant companies must have their head office and principal place of business in Quebec, and demonstrate that de jure and de facto control of the company is held 100% by Canadian citizens or permanent residents whose tax residence is in Quebec. A head office and principal place of business is defined as the place where the decision-making center is located and where the actual management of the company is exercised.

To be eligible for financial support, the applicant company must also meet the following specific conditions:

  • Be a distribution company (shopkeeper, gallery owner, promoter) with a proven track record and specialization in the marketing of Québec fine craft products
  • Commit to investing in the project an amount at least equal to that of the assistance it will receive.

Applicants may submit only one application per 12-month period.

EXPENSES

Eligible costs may include, but are not limited to:

Enhancement

  • Design and manufacture of displays, lighting and fittings dedicated to the presentation and enhancement of Québec craft products

Marketing

  • Fees and development costs for physical and digital promotional tools (photos, videos, website and transactional tools)
  • Advertising fees and costs (traditional and digital)
  • Costs related to product discoverability (e.g., web page indexing optimization, metadata structuring and referencing)

Please note that taxes (GST and QST) cannot be included in eligible costs and must be deducted from the detailed budget attached to your application.
