Aid for people with disabilities for presenting a candidacy or a grant application

Aide aux personnes handicapées pour la présentation d’une candidature ou d’une demande de bourse

DESCRIPTION

In adopting its Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities 2022-2023, the CALQ has committed to reducing obstacles to inclusion for cultural creators to foster their integration and full participation in cultural life and Québec society.

This is the context in which it now offers people with a disability financial aid to produce their grant application.

For the purposes of this aid program, the CALQ uses the definition of person with a disability as found in the Law, i.e., “a person with a deficiency causing a significant and persistent disability, who is liable to encounter barriers in performing everyday activities.” The disability may be motor, intellectual, visual, auditory, or related to a learning disability or mental health disorder.

The grant can cover, in whole or in part, expenses incurred to obtain services to facilitate the presentation of a grant application or candidacy for a person with a disability. Services required to prepare or draft the application as well as services required to produce a use report for a grant are eligible.
