Louise Campbell is currently wrapping up her second residency on Grosse Île in the Magdalen Islands. Louise is joined on CBC by two students.
Louise creates intergenerational creative experiences by making music and art with students who have different levels of training. During her residency, Louise and the students created music with body percussion and unusual materials, illustrated stories with sound, and developed a theatre production with shadow puppets.
The ACE Initiative brings artists to schools and communities where there is less opportunity for English-speaking students to explore their curriculum through the arts. Over the course of their long-term residencies, ACE artists have a chance to watch students grow, and contribute to the long-term vitality of their communities.
