Bill 96 and Non-Profit Organizations

The recent Bill 96 modifies a lot of pre-existing laws related to French as the official and common language of Québec, most notably, the Charter of the French language.
This workshop will help NPOs understand which rules affect them.
This workshop provides information on the following topics:
- Obligations as an employer, including francization and recruitment rules,
- Rules regarding language of service, written communication, advertisement and trademarks,
- Consequences of non-compliance.
There will be time for questions. However, attendees should know that this workshop can only provide legal information, and Éducaloi is not able to provide legal advice.
